Not all infusion pumps are created equal, and some pumps may work better for certain therapies than others. Different infusion pump technologies have different methods for delivering medication, each with unique Resolution and Continuity of Flow attributes.
It is important for pharmacists and infusion nurses to understand what Resolution and Continuity of Flow actually is, and under what clinical circumstances these attributes matter the most.
