Clinical Training Specialist
Vanessa Sumner graduated from Ameritech College of Nursing in 2014 and started her career in nursing at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah specializing in Cardiovascular Nursing, Heart Failure and Heart Transplant. She graduated in 2019 with her Master of Science in Nursing Administration and Leadership and in 2023 with her Master of Business Administration. In 2020 she worked for Ameritech College of Nursing as a Clinical Instructor where she grew to love educating future nurses. She joined Moog in 2020 as our Clinical Training Specialist. She continues that love of educating by keep our internal employees up to date on the clinical aspects of infusion and enteral nutrition.
Michael Medwar
Patient Support Specialist – Nutrishare
Michael Medwar is Nutrishare’s patient support specialist, helping nutrition therapy consumers achieve their highest quality of life possible and assist caregivers in their difficult journeys as well.
Starting at an early age, Michael helped his parents care for his late brother, who was born severely developmentally disabled. His own health journey began when he was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at age 9. His treatment included a brief stint on home nasogastric tube feedings before being placed on home parenteral nutrition over a 17-year period and again briefly in 2013.
Michael has been a has been a proud member of the Oley Foundation since he was a teenager. He has been to 30+ Oley conferences and has been chosen for the DREAM Team to shape the 2026 conference. He previously served on the Oley Foundation Board of Trustees and ASPEN’s Sustain Council. In 2024 ASPEN awarded him the Lyn Howard Consumer Nutrition Support Award. Michael has served as a liaison to the TSA Disability Branch to help implement respectful airport screening practices and has assisted countless patients and caregivers to travel all over the world.
